The Ability First Sports Adaptive Youth Sports Summer Camp is fast approaching and is always in need of motivated individuals who want to volunteer their time to make a difference! The camp will run from June 17-23, 2018 and is available to all athletes who have a physical disability, ranging in age from 8-17. This amazing organization leads the athletes through numerous sporting activities ranging from wheelchair basketball to various water sports. Campers don’t have to be competitive athletes to participate in the camp, the counselors aim to expose the athletes to the various sports available to them, and provide them with world-class coaching and mentoring.

Ability First Sport’s coaches are disabled athletes themselves with training and experience in collegiate, national and international Paralympic sports. Their counselors are students from California State University, Chico’s Therapeutic Recreation and Adapted Physical Education Departments, and include staff from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley.
