A grassroots movement to create a regional sports & active lifestyle complex in Butte County.
The EBHB Story
The desire to create exceptional sports facilities and programming in alignment with our region’s values and the needs of our residents is far from a new topic. Over generations, despite very dedicated and well-intended efforts it’s been one of the longest running and least fruitful conversations. Until now…
EveryBody Healthy Body was formed as a collaboration of vision and leadership to partner with sports & recreation, education and economic champions in our community with a strong history of creating world class athletes and students. Driven by principles of Equity, Access and Opportunity, the focus of a “big sports complex” has evolved into a much broader community vision incorporating adapted sports, education, health & wellness, ecology, the arts, tourism and economic development.
A unique opportunity lies with a 264-acre property along with an engaged and active stakeholder group. The information included in this website will give you a glimpse of the vision that is beginning to take shape.
Create a movement for a regional space, promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
EBHB is a catalyst for regional collaboration, empowering healthy communities by focusing on the following key guiding principles:
Structure. EBHB’s leadership structure is well-defined and reflects collaboration: shared governance, collegiality, transparency
Finances. EBHB operates from a sound financial plan.
Communication. EBHB creates an emotional connection to everything we say and do, establishing the belief that everybody can have access to a healthy and active lifestyle through our project.
Partnerships. EBHB engages a diverse group of strategic partners who have the resources to collaborate on implementing the shared vision.
Land Development. EBHB will own land, initiate infrastructure essentials, and a long-term strategy for further development and expansion. A groundbreaking physical vision of the project will be created in alignment to our culture, community and our goals of sustainability and an exceptional, integrated site design.
