“An East Coast consultant’s report indicates the large sports and recreation complex proposed by Chico’s EveryBody Healthy Body south of Chico could fill large gaps in sports and recreational needs in the region, fill unaddressed needs for the disabled communities, as well as have an economic impact of $18.7 million after its first year.”

The recent article published in the Chico Enterprise-Record highlights the economic and recreational needs that a comprehensive sports and active lifestyle complex can have on Butte County. The basis of the article spotlights the feasibility study recently conducted by the Sports Force, a Georgia based organization which projected recommendations for the complex’s indoor, outdoor, and aquatic facilities.

The feasibility study also noted that the complex could attract more than 131,000 visitors annually, along with 34,000 room nights over a year by the same time! The full feasibility study is available on the home page of the EBHB website.
