Everybody, Healthy Body – Imagine a place where the whole family can recreate without leaving town!

Claire Johnson, the Executive Director for Girls on the Run North State, describes the need for more open recreational space in Butte County. With more recreational space being designated for our community, families can get active, have fun, and live longer, healthier lives.

This testimonial took place at the Girls on the Run North State Graduation 5K on May 7, 2022. There were 1,000 runners in attendance. This event was made possible by Everybody, Healthy Body, North Valley Community Foundation, and the Aaron Rodgers Fire Recovery Fund.

Girls on the Run North State – “teaching critical life skills is the cornerstone of our research-based programs. Meeting in small teams, trained volunteer coaches inspire girls of all abilities to strengthen confidence and other important life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and physical activity.”
